 It is really quite a shame that the depressing goths hijacked the color black and made it such a big piece of their identity. It was a relatively recent change as well. It used to have such promise. Johnny Cash was the man in black. Ninjas wore all black, what is cooler than a ninja? But now all I can think of when I picture someone wearing all black is too much makeup and Hot Topic. Well, I thought that until I saw Sofia Richie sporting all black. She can remind me that there was such a thing as the golden age that came before Marilyn Manson and his shock rock minions.

Black was always such a versatile color. Are you going to a funeral? Throw on black. Going to a club? Put on the black dress. Going out toilet papering peoples' houses? Yeah, you are going to want to put on black. It was the color for every occasion. That is unless you had a dog. In that case stay far far away from black. You might get one clean wear out of it, after that you will be looking like Chewbacca. It takes a very special person to be able to pull off that look and chances are you are not one of them.
