Remember how clowns were been popping up everywhere last October, scaring the bejeezus out of everyone? Well, when this new adaptation of Stephen King's IT opens in September, you can expect that nonsense to start ramping up again. Seriously, did the world need another adaptation of this novel? Wasn't the first time around enough for you people?
Sorry, it's my raging fear of clowns speaking, but I must say that this flick looks particularly terrifying. If director Andrés Muschietti could make two little feral girls whispering "Mama" scary, imagine what he's gonna do with a giant spider monster whose more palatable form is a terrifying clown. Honestly, I might not even go to the movies in the month of September out of fear of wandering into the wrong theater.
This new TV spot shows off more of the kids of Derry, Maine and their discovery of how Pennywise is able to move through the town with such alacrity. Then it ends with some Bozo the Clown looking show where a terrified looking woman in a tragic dress chants "Kill Them All" with a group of kids. This movie's gonna give me nightmares and I'm not even gonna see it. IT opens on Sepetember 8.
