After nearly two years of hemming and hawing, it looks like Daniel Craig will indeed return for one last go-around as James Bond, in what will be the character's 25th big screen adventure. According to The New York Times, Craig's return to the role is a done deal and the film even has a release date of November 8, 2019.
No director has been announced for the project, though Christopher Nolan recently expressed interest in doing a Bond movie. If that's not a match made in heaven, I don't know what is. The writing duo of Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who have written all of Craig's Bond films, will be returning to script this film as well, meaning that with Craig's return to the role, perhaps there will be a finality and a bit of closure to this film that most of us were hoping for from Spectre.
Speaking of Spectre, it would only make sense to bring back Christoph Waltz's Blofeld for this flick as he was left alive at the end of that film. Ridding him of that ridiculous alias he had for no reason will only help to make this film better by comparison. We're also now operating on the Star Trek rule where every other film is great, so this one is guaranteed to be a rollicking good time. We'll keep you up to date on the latest info as we get it.
