Most sentient beings in the galaxy agree that the Star Wars prequels were horrible, horrible movies. While The Force Awakens is not a perfect movie, it's a pretty good one that's satisfied most fans. The prequels brought nothing but shame on the house of Lucas. As if all of the other evidence, (the bad dialogue, crappy acting, stupid plotlines, sloppy editing, and bad CGI), weren't enough to condemn these films to movie hell, some intrepid folks on Reddit discovered just how crappy the editing is. Lucas likes to blend multiple shots together to create one shot. I personally don't like this technique but it's ok if done right. If done sloppily you get what happens above in a scene from Revenge of the Sith. Watch the edges of Anakin's face, hair, and mouth and you will see them fade in and out. It is a maddeningly stupid mistake that a multi-million dollar film shouldn't make.
Then again, I'm surprised it took this long to find it. Lucas has been grousing about The Force Awakens and what Disney is doing to his movies. He has no room to talk about screwing up Star Wars.
