‘Angry Birds’ the Movie to Star ALL the Funny People

I'll be honest with you. The cast of the upcoming Angry Birds movie does not actually feature all the funny people. That was just a little hyperbolic clickbait

The cast is really good, though. Sony Entertainment announced the lineup today via their Angry Birds app (duh), and it's a veritable who's who of...current and former Saturday Night Live cast members. Jason Sudeikis, Maya Rudolph, and Bill Hader will have lead roles, and they'll be joined by Kate McKinnon. And Lorne Michaels isn't even a producer.

Don't worry, though. There are plenty of great non-SNL cast members too, including Danny McBride (Kenny Powers from Eastbound and Down), Josh Gad (Olaf the Snowman from Frozen), Tony Hale (Buster from Arrester Development), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion from Game of Thrones), Danielle Brooks (Taystee from Orange Is the New Black), Ike Barinholtz (Rogen's buddy in Neibhbors), and Keegan-Michael Key (Key from Key & Peele).

That's an impressive list. It's just a shame nobody will remember Angry Birds the game by the time Angry Birds the movie actually hits theaters in the summer of 2016.

Seriously, take your time, Sony. You know pop culture—it's always staying the same and never moving on to newer things.
