It’s a Zombooze-pocalypse: Just Add Water for Beer

If the zombie apocalypse comes tomorrow, then you can rest (or is it run?) easy if you've got one of Pat's Backcountry Beverages boozemaking kits in your backpack. This carbonated beverage kit is a must-have in every survival kit, because how else are you going to survive the apocalypse if you don't have any booze?

Beer is going to be a guaranteed prime commodity when that day comes, so stock up while you can. The kit contains a Pat's beer concentrate and a carbonation system. All you have to do is pour a packet of beer concentrate into the bottle, add water, and wait.

Each packet of the concentrate can make a single 16 oz. or 1 pint of booze, which is more than enough for you and a few of your buddies. But wait, what the heck is beer concentrate and does it even exist?, you might ask. We leave that question to Pat Tatera, who's the guy behind the whole system:

It's barley, water, hops and yeast. But from that point forward what we do with those ingredients is a radical departure from how the traditional brewing process takes place. If you come into our facility, you'll see fermentors, you'll see a mash tun, you'll see a brew kettle, but you'll also see some equipment that looks like some sci-fi movie, and that's where our very specialized technology allows us to do what we do.

Erm, okay, Pat, whatever you say.
