P0rn Company Caballero Home Video Agrees to Stop Naming Movies After Ben & Jerry’s Flavors

So I guess it was fine when they turned Edwards Scissorhands into Edward Penis Hands, or Forrest Gump into the oh-so-obvious Forrest Hump. But porn parody titles inspired by flavors of ice cream? Sweet, creamy, delicious ice cream? Nooo, sir. You can't do that. It's just wrong.

Well, maybe not so much wrong as illegal.

A few years back, Hollywood porn studio Caballero Video created a series of adult films inspired by Ben & Jerry's ice cream. That series was titled, aptly enough, Ben & Cherry's, and each of the films was named after one of Ben & Jerry's famous flavors. There was, for example, Chocolate Fudge Babes, plus other excellent titles such as New York Super Fat and Chunky, the descriptive Peanut Butter D-Cups, the rather obvious Hairy Garcia, and, last but not least, Boston Cream Thigh—though when you think about it, they didn't really have to change the original name of that one at all.

In any case, it turns out that old Ben and Jerry didn't really like their brand and trademarked flavors being used to sell smut. So they sued Caballero last September, and the court ordered Caballero not to distribute the titles while the case was ongoing. Then, just today, the Los Angeles Times reported that the two parties had reached a settlement.

Is there any money involved? Who knows. But apparently Caballero has agreed never to sell their Ben & Cherry's titles again. So if you're already got some, hold on them them. They're collectors' items, now.
