The amount of British actors finding work via HBO's Game of Thrones should all but end the Eurozone crisis.

Today's casting announcement is for character number 574, a.k.a. Mace Tyrell, who will be played by veteran character actor Roger Ashton-Griffiths. When I say veteran, I mean veteran. This guy made an appearance on The Young Ones back in the day. If you're old enough to recognize that show, then you know this dude has been around.

As for the character, Mace Tyrell is the father of the extremely hot in a weird-looking way Margaery Tyrell (a.k.a. Natalie Dormer) and her sword-swallowing brother Loras (Finn Jones). As such, the character is also the son of the Queen of Thorns, Olenna Redwyne (Diana Rigg). That's a lot of Tyrells! Throw in the Martells and a few more Greyjoys, and most people are going to need a map to navigate season four. Luckily, they show you a map at the begging of each episode, so it won't be an issue.
