Well 2012 has come and gone and we're still here. Unless of course you believed a tribe of North American native Americans a thousand years ago could predict the end of the world with accuracy on their calendar (Pfft..they didn't even mark down Columbus Day of all things!). And that means that starting tomorrow you'll have the opportunity to once again pay up to $18 to sit a cesspool of germs, sticky floors, ringing cell phones and, at the very least, entertaining cinema. Yes, I'm referring to going to the movie theater.

Judging from all the big franchises and sequels that got off the ground this year, chances are, if you're like me, most of the money you had stashed in your piggy bank marked 'Save 4 a rainey dae' was quickly disemboweled from the poor ceramic pig and given in tribute to the great Fandango gods. So before you drink too much to remember where you parked your car, be sure to remind yourself of the ten films you threw most of your cash away on this past year.
