All the nerds of the world are creaming their homemade Hobbit costumes in anticipation of the December release of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. The movie, based on the beloved dork porn by J.R.R. Tolkien, tells the tale of Bilbo Baggins finding the One Ring and capturing a dragon's treasure. I can't wait. I loved Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy and expect these films to also be awesome. My one criticism of the LOTR movies is the music. Not the main score, but all the friggin' Enya. I know you may not get much modern music down in New Zealand but let me tell ya: Enya sucks, Pete. So, I suggest that he go back to the sixties when a certain Vulcan crooner by the name of Leonard Nimoy penned this jaunty ditty called The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins. It's fun, bouncy, and has this fabulously trippy 60's music videos. Pete, you could create a perfect storm of dorkdom by appealing to both Trekkies and Lord of the Rings fans.
