Week eight in the NFL is nearly in the books and teams are starting to show their true colors. The Dolphins are making a push towards legitimacy, the Jets are a mess, the Bears can pull out tough wins and the Falcons are still the class of the NFC. Fans in London were treated to a boring blowout while the Packers played down to the Jaguars level and didn't cover the week's biggest spread.
Pittsburgh may have found the running game they've been lacking in Jonathan Dwyer, but it's hard to tell since it was against Washington's average defense. Detroit pulled off a late win over Seattle, while Oakland put a nail in the Chiefs season for the most part.Brady Quinn lasted one quarter and one passing yard before leaving that game with a head injury. Kansas City is a disaster. Again, how were they picked to be a Super Bowl contender by anyone? This week's awards features three rookies, proving the youth movement in the NFL is strong and goes beyond just the QB class. San Francisco travels into Arizona tonight to finish off week eight in what should be a low scoring defensive battle.
