The Baltimore Ravens are 5-1 thanks mostly to their offense, but losing two of your signature players on defense is never easy to stomach. It was announced today that Ray Lewis has a completely torn triceps muscle, and corner Ladarius Webb tore his ACL, ending both of their seasons on the same day. The injuries happened during the Ravens' narrow win over the Cowboys.
For Lewis it could mean the end of a Hall-of-Fame career. This is his 17th season, and though he dropped weight in the offseason to be quicker, Lewis wasn't quite the ferocious, fear-inducing linebacker he once was. It would be surprising to see Lewis come back next season after this.
