Excitement always builds when Paul Thomas Anderson has a new film coming out. Probably because he only makes one every few years and probably because we all hope that one of them will focus primarily on Rollergirl and her penchant for full-frontal. While his new movie starring Joaquin Phoenix isn't about the porn industry, in a new clip released by Anderson himself, we get about as close to a Boogie Nights sequel as we'll ever get.
A charismatic intellectual launches a religious organization following World War II. A drifter becomes his right-hand man, but as the faith begins to gain a fervent following, the drifter finds himself questioning the belief system and his mentor.
Also starring Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Amy Adams, The Master hits theaters September 14th.
