The season finale of HBO's Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Miami Dolphins came to a merciful end last night. Sure we saw a bunch of wide receivers see their NFL dreams likely crushed, and yes we saw the elation of other guys who made the final roster of 53, but those weren't the big stories.

First off, we saw rookie QB Ryan Tannehill and his wife Lauren struggle to put together some kind of end table type piece of furniture. Come on, Tannehill, you got first round money, no need to buy that stuff that you have to build yourself. Especially if you're not that handy. Secondly, that was the only time Lauren was featured in the entire episode. Not cool.

We didn't even see Lauren's buddy, Jackie Long. Her husband Jake got hurt and still no shots of her being sympathetic? The lone bright spot in that regard was a minute or so montage of the Dolphin Cheerleaders doing a bikini fashion show at the launch party for their 2013 calendar.

The big surprise was the return of Chad Johnson. Johnson was featured working out on the beach and in the gym, staying in shape in case he gets a call to help a team out. The quote of the night was from Chad when the HBO producer asked him who a team would be getting if they signed him. Chad's response; 'Chad Johnson. And that f**ker's good.'

The Dolphins kick off what's most likely going to be a miserable season on Sunday at Houston.
