‘Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters’ Trailer Conjures Up Some Grimm Action (VIDEO)

Paramount and MGM have released the first trailer for next year's Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters starring Jeremy Renner and British beauty Gemma Artertonas the brother-sister duo who after escaping from a witch's gingerbread house as children, grow up to become slayers of the supernatural.

I'm not really sure what to think of the footage. It looks like an amalgam of Van Helsing and TheBrothers Grimm (not to mention Grimm, Red Riding Hood and Snow White and the Huntsman) but less interesting and more over-the-top and bland. But who knows. Renner always seems to give it his all, no matter what thankless role he's in (Hello, Hawkeye). But the fact that the project has been delayed from release for nearly a year doesn't bode well in the studio's confidence in it.
