A party's not a party without the booze. But if you're planning to throw a huge one and want to invite a couple thousand of your closest friends, neighbors, and strangers, then you might have to rely on someone (or something) more than just a bartender.
Like the BaR2-D2 Robot Drink Mixer that can whip up 5,000 drinks in an instant.
Instructables' user jamiep probably encountered a similar problem, which is why he came up with the BaR2-D2. It's run by a computer, so all you need to do when people are running low on drinks is push a button. You'll have enough to fill everyone's shot glasses--and more--in a matter of minutes.
Unfortunately, it's not for sale. However, you can totally make one yourself, provided you've got the smarts and the technical knowhow. The complete instructions are posted here, but I took a look and things look pretty darn complicated.
I might just have to stick to my local bar, but if ever you do build your own BaR2-D2, give us a holler and show us some pictures!
