That's no spoof headline, the Rocket is coming back to pitch. Roger Clemens is going to sign a contract with an independent league team, the Sugar Land Skeeters (fantastic name), and is expected to start this coming Saturday.

According to Fox 29 in Houston, Clemens has been impressive in workouts and is in really good shape. Interesting! In fact, Clemens' pal and Astros' bullpen catcher Javier Bracamonte dropped this quote:

He's in such great shape, it's ridiculous. He's the same guy he was before.

Again, interesting. Why Clemens is coming out of retirement at 50-years-old to play minor league baseball is still kind of a mystery. I'm sure he loved the game and still does. I doubt he needs money suddenly. Clemens earned around $150 million freaking dollars, and I doubt used it all up in his perjury trial. I guess he just loves to compete.

If you're in Sugar Land this weekend and score tickets to this momentous occasion, hit us with some pics of Rog back on the mound.
