When Pretty Girls Tweet Dumb Things of Olympic Proportions

Surprisingly hot Greek triple jumper Voula Papachristo had a lightning bolt from Mount Olympus slice through her Olympic dreams this week. The International Olympic Committee has expelled the Grecian athlete from competition in next month's London Games following a possibly racist tweet she sent out saying 'So many Africans in Greece at least West Nile mosquitoes will eat homemade food.' Not really sure if it's racist. But it does raise the question: Why are there so many mosquitoes in Greece?

What does a triple jumper do? I don't know. I'm imagining a really tough game of hopscotch, but I think there's more to it than that. But despite an apology from Papachristo, the Hellenic Olympic Committee issued a statement saying that Papachristou is 'placed outside the Olympic team for statements contrary to the values and ideas of the Olympic movement.'
