The Dark Knight Rises marks the end of an era where Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale teamed up to headline one of the most successful superhero movie franchises to date.
There won't be a fourth Batman movie following the same premise these three will, as Nolan has officially signed off on the project. So that's definitely more than enough incentive to catch his last Batman masterpiece when it finally hits theaters on July 20th, right?
On a related note, the tenth TV spot for The Dark Knight Rises recently hit, which you can check out on the player above. It's also rendered in HD too, for your viewing pleasure.
The Dark Knight Rises takes off following the death of district attorney Harvey Dent. Batman assumes responsibility for Dent's crimes to protect Dent's reputation and is subsequently hunted by the Gotham City Police Department. Eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, Batman returns to Gotham, where he encounters the mysterious Selina Kyle and the villainous Bane, and must confront the latter's plans to destroy the city.
The Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Morgan Freeman and hits 2D and IMAX theaters on July 20th.
