The restaurant biz is full of stiff competition. It's an industry that demands you to be creative and unique in order to stand out from the crowd and become successful. That being said, I don't see Capcom having any issues...
Capcom has just announced they will be expanding Resident Evil into new territory with a restaurant in Tokyo, Japan. While Japan is definitely the most common place for crazy and unpractical establishments, I'm definitely having mixed feelings about Capcom's survival-horror series coinciding with people eating meals.
Biohazard Cafe (RE is known as Biohazard in Japan) and Grill S.T.A.R.S. will open July 13, 2012 and will remain for a single year before they plan to close it down. It sort of makes you wonder how much time and money they'll put into making this crazy restaurant when they already have it planned to be closed down a mere 12 months later.
Capcom has confirmed that their menu will consist of select items and also that there would be entertainment from 'Dance Team S.T.A.R.S. Angelique'. Hopefully this means they'll be focusing more on the human aspect of Resident Evil, as opposed to rotting corpses and chainsaw wielding psychopaths. Yumm, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it...
