Maybe it's because I watched the Dream Team documentary on NBA TV last night (fantastic, by the way), but this is just sort of depressing. Russell Westbrook, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade are debating over who started the trend of NBA players sporting those ridiculous hipster/dork glasses. I can't imagine Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley and Magic Johnson having such a silly back and forth. Then again, some of what Jordan was wearing in 1992 was a little more than ridiculous.

Westbrook claims he did and that everyone else started following him. Wade and James joked that Spike Lee has been wearing them for years.

Look, I remember guys wearing non-prescription glasses for style purposes in the early 90s. Either way, I'm not sure it's something anyone should be claiming to be a pioneer in. To be fair, these guys answered questions posed to them, it's not like they sat down and started riffing on the awesomeness of their glasses, but come on, be men.

Game two is tonight, hopefully it'll give them something more exciting to talk about.
