Michael Garcia - June 7, 2012

The Oklahoma City Thunder will try to advance to the NBA Finals for the first time (not counting when the franchise was in Seattle), and they get to make that attempt at home tonight against the San Antonio Spurs.

The Thunder have put it on the Spurs the last three games, and put San Antonio on the losing end three straight times for the first time this season. The formerly nearly unbeatable Spurs have become a shell of themselves, and all the credit for that has to go to KevinDurant, Russell Westbrook, James Harden and the rest of the Thunder. There's a simple reason they've won the last three games; they've played better all over the court.

Which leads to my prediction for tonight. Let me just say that after starting off hot, I've missed the last two. Road dogs in the NBA playoffs don't usually win, so I had to think the home teams were going to win again. Wrong twice.

This time though, the road team isn't going to win. The Thunder will advance to the Finals tonight.

Thunder by 8 --- or maybe it'll end in a tie.
