SUPEREGO

I almost feel guilty for even writing about this, but when you have a train wreck that continues to find more and more ingenious ways to stay in the public spotlight, I feel compelled to make sure that I bring the latest and greatest to you.
When the Allen Wranglers of the IFL cut Terrell Owens last week we knew that he would have something to say about it (the man does not know how to let anything go). Over the weekend TO (or his people; I doubt he made the announcement himself) responded to the Wranglers.
They are threatening to sue.
According to Owens, the team publicist told him the wrong date for the charity event; that's why he did not attend. He claims that the team has privately acknowledged this as a fact. As a result, he is threatening to sue the team if he is not paid $160,000 (for the remaining games he was supposed to play) and he wants a public apology.
He has given the team till Tuesday at noon to respond.
Go ahead and laugh folks. I know I did.
(In case you haven't seen it, here is that video of TO getting whacked over the wall in an indoor game; love the slo-mo and the sound effects.)
