The discussions of what "coulda, shoulda and woulda" been carries 90 percent of the conversations around sports and there's a billion dollar industry or two that's mighty thankful for that. However, EA SPORTS might be taking things too far with the new Heisman Challenge feature in NCAA Football 13. You can put past Heisman Trophy winners like Barry Sanders and Doug Flutie on any number of modern college teams just to see what it would be like.
In this trailer for the new mode you can get a look at Marcus Allen in both UCLA and a Cal (!) jersey; Robert Griffin III in TCU purple and Charlie Ward playing quarterback for the Gators. Some of the shock is mitigated by the fact that some of the modern jerseys are very different then the jerseys worn during the Heisman winners' playing days. Still, Desmond Howard sporting Ohio State colors should cause just about everybody who sees it to clinch up every muscle they've got. I would think both Wolverines and Buckeyes would feel like somebody is mocking them. This feature seems to be aimed at those college football fans whose schools have never fielded a Heisman winner. That this fantasy could come at the expense of a hated rival is icing and gravy on the cake.
