Ever since the conclusion to The Dark Knight all the way back in 2008 fanboys have been predicting how their favourite superhero might end his current reign. People have wondered whether Batman would die, or whether his true identity would be revealed, or even if we would get to meet a Chris Nolan inspired incarnation of Robin.
Well it seems like Nolan, the film's writer and director might have revealed a little bit too much in the new edition of Empire magazine!
So be warned their might be spoilers below the mark so if you don't want to know how one of the summers most anticipated films might end don't look down. Or it might all be wrong.
Here goes. Here are Christopher Nolan's words, "What drew me to Batman in the first place was Bruce Wayne's story, and that he's a real character whose story begins in childhood. He's not a fully formed character like James Bond, so what we're doing is following the journey of this guy from a child who goes through this horrible experience of becoming this extraordinary character. That, for me, became a three-part story. And obviously the third part becomes the ending of the guy's story."
Uh-oh!!
Even the film's co-writer Jonathan Nolan couldn't resist an extra spoil, adding, "It's the right way to end it - to blow the whole thing up!" Um, it's becoming pretty obvious what's going to go down later on in the summer even though the title would suggest the complete opposite.
Here's a new poster for the film too that focuses on Anne Hathaway's character of Selina Kyle but with all these spoilers flying around it seems like there is no point to this anymore.
