T-Mobile has launched a promotion called "Magenta Deal Days" to drum up its user base after several disappointing quarters. Just last February, it was reported that the operator lost close to 800,000 subscribers because it was the only national carrier that didn't sell the iPhone.
To that end, T-Mobile is attempting to bring in new customers and perhaps entice some of its old ones back with Magenta Deal Days. The promo features various Samsung 4G devices, all of which have been put on sale, and uses a tagline that sounds a tad too bitter: "Don't be fooled by iPhone 4. It's still 3G."
T-Mobile will be slashing up to $150 off for some of the devices included in its promotion, after a mail-in rebate of course. Included in the deal are the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, two of T-Mobile hottest selling gadgets in its lineup.
"As part of our commitment to make the 4G experience affordable and accessible to everyone this year, we're excited to launch our ‘Magenta Deal Days' campaign, which will provide customers with great options throughout the year, like this first compelling offer."
-- John Clelland, senior vice president of marketing, T-Mobile USA
New customers are eligible for the deals when they sign up for a two-year contract under any of T-Mobile's qualifying Classic Unlimited or qualifying Unlimited Value plans. Existing subscribers can also purchase the devices at the discounted rates if they upgrade their plans.
The Magenta Deal Days promotion will run from March 21st through April 3rd, 2012. For more information, you can access the official promo page here.
