In an unsettling bit of news, Diablo 3 will no longer be released in "early 2012" as previously stated. In it's latest financial report, Blizzard stated that they are now looking at a release of the highly anticipating sequel in the second quarter of 2012, somewhere between April and June.
Diablo 3 was originally set to be released in 2011 and, after a long chain of disappointing events (need I mention the Best Buy advertisements?), fans are wearing thin and just praying their long awaited sequel doesn't become another Duke Nukem: Forever. We can wait a few more months right?
While Blizzard does have a roster of new games in the works including Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm and World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria, Activision stated yesterday that they are only expecting one title from the gaming giant in 2012.
