‘Resident Evil 6’ May Be On Its Way to PS4 and Xbox One, Don’t All Rush At Once

I feel some kind of way about Resident Evil 6, and I feel some kind of way about this rumor.

Now, like a lot of you good Ego-gents, I love myself a slice of Resident Evil. I was raised on Jill sandwiches, wonky tank controls and questionable aiming. On faffing with limited item slots, and hauling ass back through vast swathes of the game to retrieve an item which wasn't as useless as it looked after all. I can blast the scrote off of a licker at a thousand paces, and can't get enough of that darn door-opening animation.

All of this, plus static camera angles and ballachingly bad dialogue and such, are Resident Evil. They're what makes the series, for crotchety old dudes like me. Sadly, though, the glory days of the first title to Nemesis are long gone.

Since the fourth game, the series has become ever more actiontastic. But hey, maybe that's how you roll. Maybe that's Resident Evil getting with the times, and you approve of the change. The latest, number 6, got quite a mixed reception, which means that some of us must have liked it. That's where the whole ‘mixed' thing comes in.

If you're on the approval side of the fence, and fancy bolstering your collection of current-gen HD Evil, this could be your lucky day.

As Kotaku reports, the Korean Ratings board has put up listings for a Xbox One and PS4 edition of Resident Evil 6. While Capcom claims that ‘no announcements have been made,' said board are well known for leaking games like this. It's looking likely to be true.
