In this clip from the set of Star Wars: Episode VIII we see director Rian Johnson directing what very well could be the opening shot. We return to the hidden planet where Luke has been doing the hermit thing for years and see young Rey hand him his old lightsaber. Though the release date has been pushed back by a few months, the film is finally under way. Disney also announced that it added brooding Latin badboy Benicio Del Toro and Laura Dern to the cast. Benicio is reportedly going to be a villain. No one knows who Laura Dern is going to be. Maybe Rey's mom? Perhaps Luke's baby mama? Hard to say. What I do know is that I'm going to be dissecting every little shot or bit of info that comes out because it's crucial that we figure out the mysteries of The Force Awakens. I really need to get a life.

In the meantime, watch Mark Hamill stare broodingly at Daisy Ridley on a remote Irish island.
