The New X-Men: Apocalypse Trailer Actually Looks Pretty Good

I've been largely ambivalent about X-Men: Apocalypse. The previous trailers and images have looked...well...kinda dumb. I had, and still have, hope because the previous X-Men reboot movies were pretty good. I think part of it is the way that Oscar Isaac's Apocalypse looks. He reminds me of a villain in a 70's Dr. Who episode. Still, this trailer actually looks pretty good. It's non-stop action with Jennifer Lawrence leading the younger version of popular X-Men characters like Storm, Cyclops, and Jean Grey. There is also a sort-of cameo from Wolverine. Well, at least his claws. It's not enough that Olivia Munn looks really sexy in her Psylocke costume, but if the movie can make me forget how dumb Apocalypse looks then it will have achieved its purpose.

I'm an optimist at heart. I'm willing to give it a shot. Let's face it, I was going to see it any way. I can't resist this kind of crap. I'm weak, oh so weak.
