Trek Into One-Sheets With This New ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Poster

Wow. First we got the new international trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness and now we're treated to a great, flashy new poster. Apparently every one holds pistols in this movie as evidenced by Uhura, Kirk and Spock. Gone are the phasers set to stun apparently, not when it comes to taking down Benedict Cumberbatch's villainous character....eh....who is he playing again? Goddam it, J.J.!

The one thing that's felt weird about this whole project is that despite the fact that the word 'Star' is in the film's title, there seems to be very little thing to do with space about it. Which may very well be a conscious decision on the part of Abrams and Co. to make a more planet-based action/adventure movie. And we shouldn't forget that hardly any of Star Trek IV was in space...or even in the future for that matter. Though after only one movie in the new series, has Star Trek earned a respite from space travel yet? We'll find out in just a few short months.
