Cereal companies decided that in order to sell more cereal to adults, they needed to update their mascots. After all, it's the first thing people see when they pick up the box, and no doubt it's going to leave an impression since that's what people find themselves staring at as they scoop spoonful after spoonful of cereal into their mouths.
The first course of action is to get rid of the cutesy, sissy mascots and replace them with drunk as hell characterss that don't give a shit about appealing to children or to their parents.
We kid. If cereal companies did that, they'd be out of business. Not because of poor sales, because I'm sure every person with a sense of humor would be snatching up those cereal boxes like crazy. No, they'll probably be sued by some overly-concerned folks who worry about the influence boozed-up cereal mascots would have on kids all over the country.
Valid concern, but if they turn out like you or me, they don't really have anything to worry about, right? Uh, right.
Kidding aside, these cereal box mock-ups were created by College Humor as part of a hilarious series where they took famous children's cereal mascots and transformed them into deadbeat alcoholics who need a shot of tequila all morning, noon, and night.
