So, Ego-gents. What are your plans for Valentine's? Will you be spending the evening having your good ol' fashioned yawn-and-stealthy-arm-around-the-shoulder technique ignored, while your girl cries over some chick flick or other on Lifetime TV? I know I will. But maybe you're a little more romance-inclined than the rest of us.

A fancy-ass meal, with candles and tablecloths and the whole nine yards? You stud, you. Maybe it'll be like that episode of The Simpsons, where Apu goes way overboard with the romantic gestures and makes the rest of us look like lazy assholes by comparison.

You don't want to risk that. So let's do Valentine's right. Let's do it Destiny style.

Oh yes. The sci fi shooter has been staging events-amundo lately to keep players interested, and here comes another: Crimson Days. According to Bungie, this is a celebration of ‘the rare variety of companionship that can only be found in the heat of battle;' because if your life partner isn't also your war buddy you're doing something very, very freaking wrong.

There's not too much to it, really. General bug-fixing and such, with a new 2v2 Crucible mode dubbed Crimson Doubles. Still, we're promised that the new mode will offer ‘new gameplay and mechanics that only battle-tested star-crossed lovers will appreciate,' which is intriguing. The couple that slays together stays together, after all.

Crimson Days hits February 9.
