Production Has Begun On ‘Terminator: Genesis’

"I'll be back... repeatedly."



Production has begun on Terminator: Genesis, the fifth Terminator film, a reboot of the franchise, and the first step of a planned trilogy. No pressure.



As a reboot, the film will not have to deal with the mess left by Terminator Salvation, which was considered a critical failure and financial disappointment. In all fairness, a film that makes $171 million at the box office is a disappointment I'd like to be a part of.



Arnold Schwarzenegger returns to the franchise that made him a household name, along with Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney, J.K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi, Byung-hun Lee, Michael Gladis and Sandrine Holt. Alan Taylor, who previously helmed Thor: The Dark World is directing the film.



The current release date is July 1, 2015, but when time travel is involved, dates tend to shift quickly, so be sure to check back for future (or past) updates. (Source)
