Commuters were delayed several hours this week when a 16 wheeler carrying corndogs spilled all over the highway. The semi crashed on I-220 near Shreveport. The trailer ripped open and the 40,000 corndog boxes spilled on to the freeway. No one was hurt in the crash but the delicious fried bounty fed many that day. Though it caused a massive pile up, the commuters came in droves to pick up the unopened boxes of corndogs. This is Louisiana we're talking about where if it ain't fried people don't eat it. A witness said,
"There were some reports that passersby were coming in and loading up on some of those corn dogs for dinner. It's been a big mess but a lot of folks will be eating pretty good this afternoon...Everything you need to make a good corn dog was in the middle of the roadway."
I'm not going to lie, I probably would have scooped up some corn dogs. It combines the wonderfullness that is sausages with the awesomeness of corndogs. It's one of those genius products of American ingenuity that other nations just can't keep up with. We are and always will be the leaders in technology that makes you fat.
