Cthulhu Lamp Sculpture: Devouring Souls Along With the Night

bill-swift - February 27, 2014

This lamp sculpture is inspired by none other than Cthulhu, one of H. P. Lovecraft's most popular cosmic entity yet. While the lamp won't exactly devour human souls, it will devour the night and its ensuing darkness with the flick of a switch. It was put together by French Canadian artist Karl Dupere-Richer who used a bunch of junk to create this neat-looking monster of a lamp.

Specifically, these were:

...one PVC patio chair, 14 chair feet, one flowerpot, one umbrella base, two bike tires, 30 cans, many pieces of PVC pipes, one acrylic globe lights, some car body parts, a few pieces of garden hoses and about 1,000 devoured human souls.

Unfortunately, it's not for sale, so if you wan't one, better start collecting some junk right now.
