Apparently when somebody upsets Quentin Tarantino, the legendary director just takes his ball and goes home.
According to Deadline, Tarantino has pulled the plug on his new movie, The Hateful Eight, after somebody "betrayed" him and leaked the script. It's not about the plot getting out, mind you. He's just handle the fact that someone would do that to him.
"I am not talking out of both sides of my mouth," Tarantino explains, "because I do like the fact that everyone eventually posts it, gets it and review it on the net. Frankly, I wouldn't want it any other way. I like the fact that people like my shit, and that they go out of their way to find it and read it. But I gave it so six motherfucking people!"
So who's the culprit? Well, the six people Tarantino knows read the script were Reggie Hudlin, a producer on Djano Unchained, some random agent Hudlin knows, Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern, and Tim Roth. The director says he knows Roth, Hudlin, and the unknown agent didn't do it, so that leaves Madsen and Dern. He suspects one of those guys gave it to their agent, and their agent sent it all over town.
The lesson here? Never trust an agent.
