GAMING

I have an odd kind of relationship with the Souls games. There’s some serious freaking love/hate going on here. Bloodborne, the not-Souls Souls, was my highlight; a lovingly-crafted, macabre-as-holy-hell adventure that defined what it took to qualify as an exclusive worth buying into the new console generation for.
As a bonus, it also satisfied every Tim Burton-ish, Edgar Allan Poe-ish taste for the weirdly weird I have. The perfect game for me, in theory; an utter, utter bastard that left me broken, bullied and swearing like a mofo in practise. From Software’s titles take no prisoners at all, never have and never will. I personally find them so damn good that they’re worth the struggle, you need a lil’ masochistic streak in you to be a fan.
But hey, that’s doesn’t sound too positive. I’m not expecting them to put that one in the TV spots. Let’s look at it from a different perspective. First person, for instance. Now that’s a segue.
Modder Zulliethewitch has finished work on a slice of Dark Souls III camera witchcraft, which allows you to play FPS style. It’s difficult enough as it is, but this makes it all a whole new kind of daunting. Check it out:
Holy creepy ghost-hands, Batman!
