Call of Duty, as we know, has itself a bit of reputation. Cynics will talk about things like ‘pre-teen cretins with mics,’ ‘dudebros,’ ‘neckbeards’ and ‘general assholism,’ and they wouldn’t be too far off the mark sometimes. Every game and franchise has its share of douchery in the community, natch, and the bigger the audience, the bigger the problem.

There are perfectly nice guys and gals who play COD, of course. Sad fact is, their voices aren’t heard sometimes, among all the hate mail, accusations and bitching that flies around. Your K/D is a serious goddamn business, after all, and the huge, proud erections of our e-peens must be waved at all times. That’s the sad mentality of some of the audience.

So, the message is: Don’t take yourself so effing seriously, Call of Duty. Why so serious, as Jared Leto has never asked. The developers themselves are preaching this with the new zombies mode coming to Infinite Warfare. Feast your eyes on Zombies in Spaceland.

Here’s the deal. Spaceland is set in a retrotastic vision of the mid-1980s, complete with all the iconic horrible that you remember. As Screen Rant reports, 'Zombies in Spaceland tells the story of four aspiring actors who come upon a mysterious movie theater for an audition. They’ve been invited by director Willard Wyler, portrayed with voice and likeness by Paul Reubens (Pee-wee’s Big Holiday, Gotham), who was once the shining star of the horror genre. Unbeknownst to the actors, they will be transformed into characters and transported straight into Wyler’s film to fight against waves of zombies in a space-themed amusement park set in the ‘80s.'

The best part? There’s a cameo from Baywatch and Knight Rider star/creator of that diabolically shit single Jump In My Car, David ‘Don’t Hassle the Mothereffin’ Hoff’ Hasselhoff. If you’re not on board yet (and you totally should be) here’s the trailer:
