If you suffered through last night's Golden Globes telecast, you likely saw this new promo for HBO's 2019 programming, which includes some of the biggest events in the pay network's history. Not only is Game of Thrones finally coming to an end after going dark in 2018, some other big shows will be returning to the network this year such as True Detective, Big Little Lies, Barry, and Veep.
The biggest revelation for many of us, however, was the first footage from the upcoming long-form follow-up to Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' seminal classic Watchmen. The number one reservation many of us have, of course, is that it's coming to us from Damon Lindelof, who has screwed up more properties than you can shake a stick at including Star Trek Into Darkness, Prometheus, World War Z, the list goes on and on.
There's definitely lots of interesting stuff in this promo to dig in to beyond the three scenes they show from Watchmen, as I'm sure the Game of Thrones fans are going nuts over that dialogue scene we get. Lots of fun stuff in here, and those of you with HBO or your mom's HBO Go password are in for a big 2019!
