One of the biggest comic book fans alive, Nicolas Cage has been attached to just about every major comic book movie property over the years. Prior to 2018, however, we only ever got to see Cage as Johnny Blaze in both Ghost Rider movies and Big Daddy in Kick-Ass, but now the notoriously unhinged actor is lending his talents to a second A-list superhero after voicing Superman in Teen Titans GO! to the Movies later this month.
According to Collider, Cage is also going to be voicing one of the various versions of Spider-Man—Spider-Man Noir to be exact—set to appear in the new animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The film's premise revolves around Miles Morales, a teenager imbued with the powers of Spider-Man, being mentored by Peter Parker, and the two of them discovering an multitude of Spider-Men from various alternate dimensions.
Or something, who knows? The important thing is that Nic Cage gets to put his stamp on the webslinger this year as well. Honestly, despite the fact that most of his movies these days go direct to video, there's never been a better time to be a Nic Cage diehard than right now. He's making the rounds, and hopefully he'll get back to making movies that aren't outright terrible.
And don't forget about his wacky, bloody turn in Mandy, also coming later this year. What a time to be a Nic Cage fan!
