The Transformers Trailer is, um, Kinda Wow

02:24 PM, Filed under: Home \ Movies \ Transformers

The new trailer for The Transformers movie is out today, and, well, it looks really freakin' cool. It's definitely not your traditional take on the Transformers, which I kinda wish it was (I'm still not sure I like the whole insecty thing), but for what it is, it seems like it might actually be a really awesome adaptation.

Borat Movie Trailer and More

06:05 PM, Filed under: Home \ Movies \ Transformers

Borat Movie Trailer
So I still feel bad about how slowly that Lindsay Lohan bikini video is loading (though it's really not so slow that it can't be enjoyed with a little patience), and while I already added a very nice (i.e. busty) video of Scarlett Johansson in her Baywatch gear, I want to give you guys more.

So, before you do anything else, make sure you take a look at the Borat Movie Trailer. It's just about the funniest thing ever, and if it's any indication, this will be the best. movie. ever. And if that wasn't enough, I can't get enough of the full title: Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.

Next up is this Transformers Movie Sneak Peek clip from Access Hollywood from the set of the Transformers movie. There are cars getting smashed, Tony Potts sounding like a dork, and Megan Fox being all pretty. Plus, if you stick around till the end of the clip, you'll see some cool, albeit brief, animatics of the Transformers in action.

And even though they're not technically videos, you've got to check out these great sites from Snakes on a Plane. First, wouldn't you love to get a phone call from Samuel L. Jackson? Well, now you can hear Sam Jackson tell your lazy ass to go see the movie. And if you think Snakes on a Plane is great, you'll love Snakes on a Babe. Yes, I said Snakes on a Babe.

Transformers Teaser Trailer

Transformers Movie Teaser Trailer
This is a teaser trailer in the very truest sense, in that you really don't get to see a whole lot, but man is it building up my excitement. This trailer plays on the crashed Beagle II probe to Mars, and says that the crash was actually a cover up.

What the probe really found was... TRANSFORMERS!!!

It's really cool, so make sure you watch the Transformers Teaser Trailer. I can't wait for this movie. Besides Superman Returns, this is the movie I've been awaiting for over 20 years.

Weekend Videos - It's Time To Geek Out

Al Gore Futurama trailer for An Inconvenient Truth
Don't worry, this won't be another post of just Superman Returns videos, but you can't properly Geek Out without a little Super-something.

One of the coolest things from the new movie, is that using "the magic of computers" Marlon Brando lives on as Jor-El.

Ever wonder what it would be like in a fight between the United Federation of Planets and the Evil Galactic Empire? Find out in Star Trek vs Star Wars.

Al Gore has to deal with Bender from Futurama in this Trailer for An Incovenient Truth.

So, do you remember that kickass commercial of the Transforming Citroen C4? Well, now there's and extended version. Plus they've released a new commercial featuring the Citroen C4 Transformer skating on ice. But the best is watching the Old 1950s Citroen 2CV Transform.

Thanks for Geeking with me...

Transformers Update

04:06 AM, Filed under: Home \ Movies \ Transformers

It's been a little while since there's been any news from the Transformers movie production, but today, IESB.net has a short interview with the film's writers on the direction the movie is starting to take.

One thing that's bodes well for the film is that the writers seem to be taking the history of the franchise seriously. When answering questions like "Megatron, tank or gun?" "are you thinking Generation 1, Generation 2? Mixture of both?" and "Will we see the homeworld (Cybertron)?"

We are handling everything like a Supreme Court. We are taking everything in from the fans and taking it under judicial review. Treating every decision like it's law.

Here's hoping it doesn't get completely fucked up along the way.

George Clooney is Optimus Prime

03:41 AM, Filed under: Home \ Movies \ Transformers

E Talk Daily is Canada's answer to Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood, and it's just as crappy. However, they did break the news that George Clooney will be playing the voice of the Autobot leader, Optimus Prime.

I'm not sure I want the films producers to be messing with the original voice talent, which formed such a major part of my childhood, but Clooney might just be a good choice, as long as Michael Bay doesn't screw it up.

Michael Bay Talks Transformers. Reluctantly

05:31 AM, Filed under: Home \ Movies \ Transformers

IESB.net
has posted an impromptu interview with The Island director Michael Bay about his plans for the upcoming Transformers movie.

Shooting will aparently start in December, even though a script has yet to be finished. In regards to the voices of the Transformers, he said "we'll make everyone satisfied on that." I guess that means we have the authority to flog him if he doesn't deliver. Right?

Watch the video interview here. (via SHH!)

Autobots Roll Out! Transformers Release Date

04:49 PM, Filed under: Home \ Movies \ Transformers

Optimus Prime
It appears as though the signing of Michael Bay to direct the live-action Transformers movie has had at least one positive outcome so far. That being the start of filming this fall, and a scheduled release date of Thanksgiving 2006.

Now I swear this on all that's holy, if they fuck this movie up and ruin my childhood memories, I will destroy every last one of them!

At least Steven Spielberg is producing.

Emmerich or Bay? How About Neither

12:31 AM, Filed under: Home \ Movies \ Transformers

Optimus Prime
The Movie Blog says that AICN says that it's down to Roland Emmerich, or Michael Bay for director of the Transformers live action movie. I really hope neither of them get it. We don't need Y.A.A.M. (yet another action movie). Transformers is deserves much more than anyone who directed Godzilla and Pearl Harbor can muster. I think someone should start a petition.

Update: Cinema Confidential says Bay is in. Crap.
