I'm sure you remember how Paris Hilton was arrested for driving drunk, well, she has now been officially charged by the District Attorney, reports People. So does that mean that Paris Hilton will be going to jail? Probably not. *Sigh*

Paris Hilton has been charged with two misdemeanors - driving under the influence and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher, Los Angeles city attorney's spokesperson Frank Mateljan tells People.

She is scheduled for arraignment Thursday at 8:30 a.m. in L.A., but is not required to attend the hearing. The maximum punishment for a first-time DUI is a $1,000 fine and/or six months in jail.

"I'd be very surpised if she does any jailtime," says Lawrence Taylor, an L.A.-based attorney with 30 years experience handling DUI cases. "If she pleads guilty, she'd likely pay a fine, attend DUI school and be on probation for three years."

It won't happen, but how great would it be to see Paris Hilton thrown in Jail? Six months of no Paris. That really would be my dream come true. Well, one of them anyway.

Of course, after the six months, it would be like a young, drunk, skanky, Martha Stewart getting out of Jail, and then there would be no way of avoiding her. So I guess it's probably best that she not go to jail. Unless maybe she went to jail, and got stuck with a shiv. I hear you can make a knife out of a toothbrush...
