Lindsay Lohan Doesn’t Understand the Definition of Alcoholics Anonymous

Lindsay Lohan is speaking out about going to Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Which is kind of weird, since it is called Alcoholics Anonymous for a reason. Lindsay spoke to People, saying that she's been in AA for year, but hasn't spoken about it because it's supposed to be anonymous. However, that didn't stop her from saying she hasn't had a drink in a week. According to my math, though, that's a lot less than a year.

Lindsay Lohan had a good reason to be late for a holiday party at Hollywood club Shag in on Monday. "I just left an AA meeting," she told PEOPLE.

"I've been going to AA, for a year by the way," she added. Why didn't she say so until recently? "Well it's no one's business. That's why it's anonymous!"

"I haven't had a drink in seven days. Or anything. I'm not even legal to, so why would I?" Lohan, 20, told PEOPLE. "I don't drink when I go to clubs. I drink with my friends at home, but there's no need to. I feel better not drinking. It's more fun."

Asked if she had advice for those seeking recovery from substance abuse, Lohan said, "I think, don't do it for someone else. Do it for you, 'cause if you do it for someone else you're going to relapse. It's not going to be a change. You have to really do something if you want to do it and... if it doesn't work, you're not meant to."

This is exactly the reason Lindsay Lohan is such a good role model. She knows underage drinking isn't right, but she does it anyway. She thinks that drinking at home with friends doesn't really count as drinking. And she also seems to be a fan of the Homer Simpson method of problem solving. That is, if at first you don't succeed, it probably wasn't worth trying to begin with.

Way to go Lindsay! You're making everybody proud.
