So I was watching Surface last night like I normally do, expecting to follow the characters along on their quest to discover the origins of a new undersea electric lizard. It's only a few minutes after the first commercial, when all of a sudden, Lake Bell proceeds to strip down to her underwear, rub petroleum gel all over her body, and dive into the water. What!? Needless to say, I was caught off guard (happily so, of course). Usually, TV networks hype the crap out of stunts like that, and maybe NBC did, and I just missed it. Regardless, it seems like Surface is following in Smallville's footsteps in exploiting (quite literally) every asset of their show. Surface is a good show, and it just keeps getting better.
Surface airs Mondays at 8pm on NBC, but if you weren't lucky enough to catch Surface last night, here's the moment in question: and .
Update: Grr! The videos are being annoying in that they don't seem to be loading, but I've added a whole bunch of HD screen caps after the jump.
