Zach Braff Wants Jessica Simpson

Okay, so if Zach Braff pulls this off, he is totally my hero. I mean, hands down, top of the list, kicking Wilmer Valderrama's ass down Hollywood boulevard, hero. Pulls what off you ask? Well, Jessica Simpson, that's what.

While new sightings have put the Scrubs star at New York's Bungalow 8, chatting up Jessica, from the looks of it, Zach has been trying to get with Simpson for the past couple weeks. According to Us Weekly, Zach's made his first attempt at getting with Simpson just after having broken up with Mandy Moore.

As Zach Braff downed drinks, partied with pals and (unsuccessfully) tried to get Jessica Simpson's attention on June 8 at West Hollywood hot spot Hyde, he looked like a typical guy on the prowl. And with good reason: A source tells Us Weekly that the Scrubs actor, 31, and his girlfriend of a year and a half, Mandy Moore, 22, have split up

And People magazine reports the two were talking flirtatiously just a few days ago.

On July 1, Simpson, 26, headed to Southampton's Pink Elephant club, where she spent almost an hour laughing in a private cabana with Scrubs star Zach Braff at a party for Kritik Clothing.

"Life goes on," Simpson's pal tells PEOPLE. "She's not going to be hiding."

I am so jealous of Zach Braff. He's had a hit TV comedy, a hot directing career, and some of the hottest girls in Hollywood, and now he's probably getting another. I'm Jewish. I'm cute in that goofy way. Sure, I don't have a hit TV show, or any critically acclaimed movies under my belt, but a lot of people like my blog. Doesn't that count for something?
