Avril Lavigne Wants to Model

Looks like Little Miss Punk, Avril Lavigne, is actually following through on this whole image makeover of hers. Contact Music reports that Avril is serious about using her Ford modelling contract to do fashion ads, and it's actually been a while since I saw her flip the bird at anyone.

I want to do those really beautiful ads with the high-end products. I look through magazines and stare at ads and think, 'I'm not six feet tall, but I know I can do that.' I'm starting to feel more feminine. I'm getting into hair and make-up and image. That's the best part of being a girl.

Of course, this is all just the requisite image makeover that every young pop star goes through after being in the public eye for a few years. At least she's cleaning up her act, and not slutting it up like Britney, Christina, and Jessica.

Avril Lavigne also attended the Chanel show at Paris fashion week yesterday, and caused quite the paparazzi riot. Is she really that popular, or is there just nothing else to write about today? More pictures after the jump.
