Tyra Banks Pictures (See Through?)

The new season of America's Next Top model is quickly upon us, and hopefully it'll be a good one. Also, maybe this year, the winner will actually go on to become a successful model. Enough so that she actually merits the title "Top Model." But it's doubtful. One thing that is certain, Tyra Banks will be back on the air. And since her singing career didn't exactly take off, and her modelling days are coming to an end, it looks like she has accepted her place in the reality TV continuum. But you know what, judging by these pictures, she may have a few years left in her yet. Oh, and is what she's wearing in some of those pictures see-through?

Charlize Theron Gets “Arrested”

Don't you just love witty title puns!? Yeah, me too. Too bad that one wasn't particularly witty. Anyway, word from TV Guide is that Charlize Theron will be joining the cast of the teetering-on-cancelation comedy "Arrested Development" this fall. If this move doesn't bring more viewers to the show, I don't think it's going to be around for very much longer, in fact, most people were surprised that it even got picked up again. Anyway, at least now there's a valid reason to post these pictures.

The Proposition Trailer

Seeing as how I'm in Australia for the next little while, and I'm trying to embrace everything the culture has to offer (within reason), I thought I'd share with you the trailer for a new Australian movie called "The Proposition," which looks pretty good, and has been getting great reviews. Jessica Simpson Swimsuit Pictures

Sometimes I wonder if the theory that good-looking people get ahead in life more often is true. Then I see pictures of Jessica Simpson, and I can stop wondering. Fine, she can sing, but as far as her brains are concerned, well, lets just say that it's a good thing she's pretty. And really hot.

Eva Longoria: Hot, But Not That Hot

It just goes to show how short our cultural memory is when Eva Longoria is voted the sexiest TV star of all time. Then again, maybe we shouldn't be putting so much stock in the results of a British supermarket survey. That's right, according to Ireland Online, British supermaket chain, Sainsbury's was behind the poll. If nothing else, it was a brilliant marketing scheme, since now a lot more people know about British supermarkets.

Star Trek: Resurrection

Well, it looks like the Star Trek franchise isn't quite dead yet. Not even a year (hell, it's only been three months) since Enterprise went off the air, a new script has been commissioned by Paramount for a new Star Trek film, entitled Star Trek: The Beginning. According to screenwriter, Erik Jendreson (whose only notable credit is for "Band of Brothers"), the film "would look at the inciting incident that started everything... The story is big and epic, and it isn't as antiseptic as the television stories had to be." The everything Jendreson refers to is the founding of the Federation, and he also says "We're looking at a very small group of men and women, particularly focusing on one character. There are a couple of ships, including a principal ship, but this is not a traditional captain and crew of a starship story in the least." With things so early in development, it's really hard to tell what it'll be like, but hopefully they can breath some new life back into the franchise. Also, I guess this means that there really won't be anymore Next Gen movies anymore. At least for a while. (via Moviehole)

Live From… Australia!

Hey everyone, guess where I am. If you said Australia, congratulations, you've been paying attention this far. Yes, that's right, I took the weekend to jet down to Sydney, from where I will be updating the blog for the next month. Don't worry, you'll all get your daily dose of Egotastic! goodness (maybe minus a few for some side trips to Melbourne, and the likes). Anyway, today we'll have a couple less posts than usual, since I'm passing out from jet lag, and I really need some sleep, but expect to see a lot more of the things you love each and every day.
