The O.C. on The CTV

"Canada's watching The O.C. on CTV."

And the U.S.A. isn't, 'cuz y'all got stuck watching Bush stump for social security reforms.

Oh well.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes! WTF!

This is new. It's always weird to wake up to a new celebrity romance, and think to yourself: "where the hell have I been?" and "what's Tom Cruise got that I don't?"

Well, right now one of those things is Katie Holmes.

My sneeking suspicion, however, is that this publicist's wet dream is merely that; a cold contrived tabloid relationship, maneuvered to sell more "Batman Begins" and "War of the Worlds" shwag.

Kevin Smith on Revenge of the Sith

Kevin Smith, writer/director of Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, and a whole slew of other films, has a review of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith at his blog. Be warned, it's full of spoilers, but he did have this to say:

"Revenge of the Sith" is, quite simply, fucking awesome. This is the "Star Wars" prequel the haters have been bitching for since "Menace" came out, and if they don't cop to that when they finally see it, they're lying.

Back to Back Sin City Sequels

Sometimes a good thing does get better. According to JoBlo, Robert Rodriguez will be making two more sequels to the incredible Sin City, back-to-back. Just like Back to the Future, and the Matrix sequels, I expect the two films will be realesed only months apart.

Robert Rodriguez will be shooting back to back sequels for SIN CITY 2 and 3 starting February of next year for a release presumably summer of 2007. I guess the studio big wigs were satisfied with the commercial and critical appeal of the uber-cool SIN CITY that they jumped on the shooting back to back sequels bandwagon.

Paramount Signs Deal With Marvel

Paramount has signed a deal with Marvel to distribute some of it's comic book licenses as films. What's cool is that since Marvel has so much dman money, Paramount won't be financing the production of the movies, just distributing them, and receiving a ten percent commission, so that should mean less interference from moronic executives.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, the first two movies slated for production are Captain America and Nick Fury! (via SHH)

Newer Batman Trailer

O.K., so it's not really "newer," but it is a longer version of the final trailer released on MTV a few days ago. This version is definitely better, showing more of the arc of the movie, plus it's on Apple's trailer page, so the quality is much better.

Christina Aguilera See-Through Too

I figured I'd go for a trifecta of celebrity see-throughness today. A triumvirate of sheer cloth. A troika of insinuation.

For your viewing pleasure, Christina Aguilera in a see-through shirt.

Enjoy.
