Another of Bryan Singer's video journals has gone up over at BlueTights.net. This one, entitled "Big, Scary, Lit-up, Director Face" is fun for a few reasons, not least of which is the title.
While not as entertaining as the classic video #7 "The Call" featuring the emaciated Peter Jackson, this one appealed to me on a different level of geekiness. The Tech Level.

My favourite part, however, was when Singer said "now [digital] looks better than film." Yes, digital is better than film. I know many a nay-sayer, personally even (*cough* Dave *cough*), and I was quite glad to hear it come from the mouth of a well-respected director such as Singer.
Oddly enough, unlike on the last two Star Wars movies, which were both shot digitally, the editing process on Superman Returns seems not to have been helped out by the transition to digital. Whereas on the Star Wars productions, the shots from the morning were being edited after lunch the same day, it seems that on this shoot, there is an even longer delay than with printing film dailies.
